Huntington Beach is Surf City: pier events, beach festivals and summer brand activations with heavy foot traffic and a relaxed crowd. A live station on the sand is one of the best activations in the county, and it's also the one that needs the most planning.
The planning is mostly power, shade and wind. Sand and sun are hard on ink and crew, and there's rarely a wall outlet near where the crowd is. We've done it here: five days of live screen-printed bandanas in Huntington Beach on three presses, and a two-day run of live names and numbers on ringer tees by the beach.

We bring a quiet generator and a tent, and we'll ask the event organizer about vendor placement and permits. Indoor venues near the coast work the same as anywhere else. Also nearby: Anaheim, Irvine, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach and the rest of Orange County.
